Determining whether a SMSF is suitable for you, is the first step. A SMSF allows you to select your investments individually, or in collaboration with an investment advisor (Petta Yencken & Company is not authorised to supply specific investment product advice). It gives you a greater investment choice including investing in direct shares, property or other investment appropriate for you objectives and needs. A SMSF can also provide better control over your estate planning

As an Authorised Representative we can assist in helping you to determine:

  • Whether a SMSF is suitable vehicle for you:
  • Establishment of a SMSF
  • Determination of contributions
  • Minimum pensions payment

Superannuation Laws governing SMSFs are strict and can be complex in relation to compliance and reporting. To this end, we can assist you, through our Accounting Practice, to navigate these matters. We will help to ease your workload in relation to the administration of your SMSF, as well as ensuring you understand the requirements involved in being Trustees of your SMSF. Petta Yencken & Company can assist with::

  • Compliance: ensuring that your Fund stays within the rules
  • Assisting you to manage your SMSF
  • Record keeping
  • Preparation of financial statements and tax returns
  • Organising the mandatory auditing of your SMSF with our external auditors
